Author Celebrates Anniversary: Meet Angela Couch!

Hi, Angela! I know those book baby birthdays are so exciting. Congratulations on the third anniversary of the Scarlet Coat! Information about your book and writing are at the end of this blogpost.Everyone please check it out! Angela, tell us a little about yourself: you, your family, where you live.

Hi, all! I live in Alberta Canada, where I instruct Martial Art classes, homeschool my two oldest while the younger two run amuck, and write whenever I have a free minute.

I hear you about those free minutes. I homeschooled six, and we take those moments where we can.

What is your passion, business, hobbies? Tell us about your book.

My dream of having a novel published came to fruition three years ago with my debut novel, The Scarlet Coat. A newer hobby that has been fun for the family, is the restoration of old cars. Right now, we are working on a 57 Chevy Bel Air that my husband inherited from his grandpa.

My parents had a  '57 Chevy Bel Air! Who know where it is now.     Where do you see yourself in five years?

Exactly where I am now, doing  many of the same things. A few more books out (I’m very excited about a Mountie series I am working on), and maybe an acreage so I can have a horse again.

Oooo, a Canadian Mountie! Can't wait.  What are you currently reading?

Two books on the go. One paper and one on my kindle. I am enjoying Amber Perry’s So Bright a Hope and Mary Connally’s Unexpected Warrior. Both are so good!

We always have more than one book going at a time, don't we?   If you could have the world stage for five minutes, what would be your message to the world?

The way to peace and joy is through Christ.     AMEN!!

Anything else you’d like to say?

What else is there to say after that?  AMEN again!! Thanks for stopping by. Everyone please take a look at Angela's information below.

More about Angela: To keep from freezing in the Great White North, Angela K Couch cuddles under quilts with her laptop. Winning short story contests, being a semi-finalist in ACFW’s Genesis Contest, and a finalist in the International Digital Awards also helped warm her up. As a passionate believer in Christ, her faith permeates the stories she tells. Her martial arts training, experience with horses, and appreciation for good romance sneak in there, as well. When not writing, she stays fit (and warm) by chasing after four munchkins.

A Woman Compelled by Christian Charity
Surrounded by the musket fire of the American Revolution, Rachel Garnet prays for her family to be safe.  When the British invade the Mohawk Valley, and her father and brother don’t return from the battle, she goes in pursuit of them. She finds her brother alive but her father has been killed at the hand of the enemy. Amidst the death, how can she ignore a cry for help…? Rachel reluctantly takes in a badly wounded British officer. But how long can her sense of Christian duty repress her hatred for his scarlet coat?

A Man Lost to the Devastation of War
Passages of Scripture and fleeting images of society are all Andrew Wyndham recalls after he awakens to the log walls of his gentle prison. Even his name eludes him. Rachel Garnet insists he is a captain in the British army. He mourns the loss of his memory, but how can he hope to remember war when his “enemy” is capturing his heart?

A Scarlet Uniform Holds the Power to Unite or Divide

Andrew’s injuries are severe, his memory slow to return, and the secret of his existence too perilous to ignore. As Rachel nurses him back to health, his hidden scarlet coat threatens to expose the deeds of her merciful heart, and Andrew is forced to face a harrowing decision—Stay hidden and risk losing the woman he loves or turn himself in and risk losing his life.
